One of the best ways to get people in a group to know each other is by trying out some simple team building games and activities. You can never be too old or too young to play some games, have some fun and get to know each other better while you're at it! So given below are some fun team building activities and games for youths that are bound to be the perfect ice breakers ever!

The Twisted Circle
This is one of the best youth team building exercises that can be played in large groups. Form two large circles and make a person stand in the middle of each circle. This person will be the leader and he will hold chits containing certain instructions. Play music and make people move in the circle. The people in each circle should rotate in opposite directions. Then, when the music stops, the leader will pull out chits which will contain instructions like 'right elbow to left ear' or 'left knee to nose' or 'right hand to left shoulder blade'. Each person in each circle needs to quickly form this bond with a person of another circle. This way, there will be a lot of chaos and running around. And the time limit for carrying out these instructions will be ten seconds or so. Whoever does not manage to find a partner is eliminated and consequently each circle keeps getting smaller till an eventual pair wins.

Creamy Whistle
Make two teams of two people each. Creamy whistle is a simple game which requires a couple of whistles, small paper plates and lots of whipped cream. In this game, lay out some paper plates on a table and place one clean whistle on each plate. Then, each player will run to the table and try to place the whistle in his mouth. Then, the other player has to put a scoop of whipped cream on the whistle while the first player has to try to blow it as hard as he can. After the first whistle, the other player has to again place a scoop of whipped cream on the whistle. Whichever team manages to blow the whistle maximum number of times wins. One of the messiest but funniest youth team building activities that will surely be a lot of fun.

Filling the Bucket
Make two teams of equal number of people make them stand in a line. Keep a bucket of water at one end of the line and keep a small empty bottle at the other end. Then, start the timer and make the contestants pass the water from the bucket to the bottle with their hands. The first team to fill the bottle wins! This is really one of the most fun youth team building games that is bound to increase the excitement factor tenfold!

Duct Taped Head
Make two teams of two players each. For this game, you will need a large bowl full of plastic spoons and two rolls of duct tape. One of the players will use the duct tape and roll the duct tape to cover the entire head of the other person. The entire head needs to be covered (leaving the eyes and the nose, of course). Then, once the head has been duct taped, make the person run to the bowl of spoons and without using his hands, get as many spoons stuck to his head as possible. The person with the maximum number of spoons stuck to the head wins! This is surely one of the craziest team building activities that is bound to evoke peels of laughter!

Tree Tracking
In this event, choose a place that has lots of trees. Then, make pairs, of which one partner will be blindfolded. The person who is not blindfolded leads the other person to a particular tree and explains what the tree looks like. The blindfolded person can touch the surface of the tree if he wishes to. Later, the blindfolded person is taken away from the tree and the blindfold is removed. The person has to identify the tree and whoever does so first, wins. This is one of the simplest yet most testing team building activities for youths of all time.

There are many other popular youth team building activities that are a rage, like treasure hunting games. However, in the end, what matters is to ensure that everyone bonds and has a good time!
