Anyone out there denying the importance of the tool of advertising is in today's times? I didn't think so. Advertising is what gets you noticed. And by 'you', we mean products, services as well as personalities and traits. Public relations is a standing example of the same. But we won't be getting into that arena. This draws on the innate want of humans to long for something more for less. It is due to this that they are able to make sales and draw attention to their product.

Factual Information It Is
This is one of the most effective advertising techniques used in advertising because of the way in which it chooses to draw the attention of the audience. It simply provides fact and figures and statistical data to make their point. They might talk about the figures or they might talk of the awards that they've got. They want the qualities of the product to act as enough advertisement.

Of a Higher Ranking
Another very effective technique is a method which focuses on drawing on class and society. They might use people who are elegantly dressed or have a high standing in society and might subtly indicate that using of the product will help them become a part of that high standing as well.

Humor Me Please
Humor is used as a technique of advertising in a way that it makes the audience laugh. It draws their attention to the way in which the ad made them laugh. And even though there might not be enough information provided for about the product, the advertisement remains etched in the minds of the customers because of the humor.

Of the Glittering Generality
Glittering generality is a technique that uses very prolific and catchy phrases and images to draw the attention of the audience and make an appeal to them thus. Superlative words are often used as are very attractive pictures. By this, the audience is asked to join into something that promises them of being the best.

"Why should I be the loser"? That is exactly what this advertising technique will draw on. They will draw on the need of you wanting to be a part of the crowd and not be left behind. This form of advertising is often referred to as a propaganda technique.

It's All Positive
Card stacking is one of the most popular and one of the most effective advertising technique. In this technique, the stress is only laid on the positive aspects of a product and the negative aspects are pushed to the background. Thus only a part of the picture is painted.
