Be it basketball, baseball or a business or even a small high school project, one thing is common. Team work. All these things are not a single person affair! It needs a collective effort of a number of people for accomplishing the objectives of these tasks well. There is no alternative to team work people! You need it in a team sport, at workplace, in studies and in almost every aspect of life! This is because the more the number of people, the equal number of thought processes and mentalities. Hence, there has to be something which makes them comes to a consensus or at least make them understand each others perspectives and mentality. Team building games can whip up magic when it comes to this!

Team Building Games
Put on your thinking cap and think about what youngsters are interested in and what makes them give their best shot. You can certainly conjure some youth team building activities which are fun!

Tooty Fruity
This can involve small to medium groups and is a great as one of those indoor games for team building. Although it can be an outdoor team building activity or a game for youth as well. Launching marshmallow is basically what you do in this. A person puts a small marshmallow in one nostril and plugs the other one. Then that person blows it off as far as he can.

Cross The River
Okay this is a bit complicated but it is an ideal one as far as indoor team building games are concerned. For this game, you would have to make an imaginary river and mark the banks using either a masking tape or rope. It should be wide enough so that the participants cannot pass it easily. The aim is to get all the participants, team wise to cross the river safely. They have to use rafts (that purpose will be served by cardboard squares) and the participants have to be in contact with them otherwise they will be swept away. The rafts or rather the cardboard squares which have been swept away will have to be removed by the leader.

Mining Away
This game is called Minefield. In this game, objects are scattered in an outdoor or indoor setting. Participants are divided in pairs and one of them is blindfolded. The other person has to guide the blindfolded individual through the minefield of objects. A great game to create a camaraderie between two individuals.

Does the Stick Tick?
Another fun game, this can help greatly in team building in the workplace. What is done here is that a couple of lines facing each other are formed and then a long and thin rod is placed on the fingers of the members of the group. The aim of this game is to lower the rod to the ground. It is fun to see what actually happens!

Guessing Game
Make the participants sit in a circle and have chits made beforehand of the names of the participants. Each individual should describe the person in the chit without speaking. The others have to guess who is that. This is one of the best indoor game for team building.

There are so many more! Something like tug of war, preparing a skit and the like can work great as group activities for team building and development of team spirit. The bottom line is that the team spirit and bonding should develop. I mean, hasn't Henry Ford in these lines told us about the importance of team work and team building - Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.
