Let me ask you this question. Do you think that if I want to be my own boss, would I be suffering from DID? If you think the answer is yes, please click away, if no, I urge you to hear me out.

'Be Your Own Boss!'
'Write Your Own Paycheck!'
'Don't Go out to get that Paycheck, Get it Home!'

We see these and many other taglines that promise all of us that luxurious life that we always dreamt of, and that too, as early as tonight. While many of these are scams, some are actually genuine business opportunities, but of course, which have many more requirements than spoken about.

"Make Money Quick" scams have been around since time incarnate. It is a common saying that as long as there are fools to be fooled, there will be someone to fool them. What makes these schemes work? Are these so complex to understand? And more importantly, what are the ways to detect such scams?

One of the first of such scams is the various MLM offers we all get. While MLMs cannot be considered to be complete scams, one can safely say that they are a risky business. Of course, there will be ten thousand success stories about people who have joined MLMs, and even you may know some of the people whose lives changed once they joined this MLM or that MLM.

The only way to find out the true colors of an MLM is by talking to everyone related to the MLM, and that too for a long time. Mostly, your research will have you reach the conclusion that the figures that are dished out during the advertising campaigns are bloated figures, which are quite similar to the 'in optimum settings'. One should also remember that MLMs are considered illegal in some countries, and there are countless litigations against the top MLMs in the world.

The Internet is the latest hub of such 'make money quick' scams. Every other day, there are various advertisements on shady web portals which are just dying to introduce you to a work at home concept that can immediately propel you into the world of the rich and the famous. There are, of course, certain ways in which one can find out whether the opportunity advertised is the real McCoy or just another fly by night operator waiting to collect money for his or her airplane ride out of the country.

The best way to understand whether the ad you have clicked on about 'making money fast/online', 'earn $25000 in a minute', etc., is by checking out if they are asking you for any amount of money. Remember, this isn't about MLMs, this is about work that you are supposed to do. Why would you pay anyone to work for them? But remember, if you are a freelance worker and are looking out to join a website which connects you to such employees, paying money to become a member of such websites is not a good idea. In fact, it is a very good idea.
